88 million Americans shopped online for Black Friday in 2021, with sales reaching $8.9 billion—a slight drop from the previous year during the pandemic, mainly due to shoppers returning to stores a year away. Despite this, nearly 43% of Black Friday sales took place through mobile phones last year, and millennials were the biggest spenders.
Therefore, marketers must continue focusing on online sales and social media, where these demographics spend most of their time.
