Job description

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for the organisation of at least 2 bi-annual physical/virtual events gathering international cross-Border commerce decision makers (300+) coming to Brussels from all over Europe. Your responsibility starts with reaching out the right (R)etail C-Level executives that are part of the TOP 500 Retailers Cross-Border champions via Linkedin, email campaigning and video calls. You build a strong CBCommerce community with tools such as CBCommerceTALK® or CBCommerceNEXT® feeding the CRM with the right data content. You work closely with the Founder of Cross-Border Commerce Europe and the Chief Commercial Officer as well as the Digital Marketing Manager.

YOUR FOCUS

  • Develop an ambitious European event & community building strategy focusing on customer satisfaction
  • Plan and execute all events & community building strategy, including CRM, email, social media and video calls
  • Produce detailed proposals for events including timelines, venues, suppliers and contractors, then negotiate process and onboard
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics: venue, hotels, catering, travel
  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicize and promote the event
  • Manage all pre-event planning, organizing guest speakers and delegate packs
  • Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
  • Measure and report performance of all events, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Handling budgeting, invoicing and P&L per event

YOUR PROFILE

Communication is your passion. Internal, external, online and offline. You are a master in organizing events and are a good community builder. You like to take half your own hands and can work autonomously remaining calm in stressful situations.

  • You have 2-3 years of relevant experience in event & community management
  • You have a solid knowledge of B2B social media: YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin
  • Email campaigning and social media analytics is not strange to you
  • You have problem-solving skills and diplomacy
  • Fluent command of English, French and Dutch is required
  • You are highly organized and give attention to detail
  • You have good project and time management skills
  • You have basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • You are flexible, target-driven and pro-active
  • You have risk management experience
  • Affinity with e-commerce is a must
  • You have good leadership skills
  • You have self-motivation and enthusiasm
  • Digital-minded
  • You hold a Master in Business Communication or relevant field
