YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

Strengthened by the pandemic, Cross-Border e-Commerce market is booming. To support this record growth, we strengthen our team with a new position: Business Development Manager Europe. You will develop an effective EU sales strategy. You drive sustainable financial growth through sales and strong relationships with members and partners at European level. You work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and Founder of Cross-Border Commerce Europe.

Your focus:

  • Develop an ambitious European growth strategy of +50% turnover beating the market and focusing on customer satisfaction and ROI
  • Arrange virtual business meetings with prospective European members and partners
  • Prepare membership and partnership contracts ensuring adherence to EU law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing EU members and partners


YOUR PROFILE

Sales is your passion. You master business development with a proven national or international B2B e-commerce sales track record enabling you to leverage this European challenge.

  • You have 2-5 years of relevant experience as Account Executive or Business Development Manager
  • A proven sales track record in B2B e-Commerce
  • Your DNA is digital
  • A good experience in B2B social media: YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin
  • An experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills
  • You have good time management and planning skills
  • Fluent command of English is required, French and German is a plus
  • You are a pro-active candidate working alternatively from home and our Brussels HQ
  • You hold a BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

You are responsible for the organization of at least 2 bi-annual physical/virtual events gathering international cross-Border commerce decision makers (300+) coming to Brussels from all over Europe. Your responsibility starts with reaching out the right (R)etail C-Level executives that are part of the TOP 500 Retailers Cross-Border champions via Linkedin, email campaigning and video calls. You build a strong CBCommerce community with tools such as CBCommerceTALK® or CBCommerceNEXT® feeding the CRM with the right data content. You work closely with the Founder of Cross-Border Commerce Europe and the Chief Commercial Officer as well as the Digital Marketing Manager.

Your focus:

  • Develop an ambitious European event & community building strategy focusing on
    customer satisfaction
  • Plan and execute all events & community building strategy, including CRM, email,
    social media and video calls
  • Produce detailed proposals for events including timelines, venues, suppliers and
    contractors, then negotiate process and onboard
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics: venue, hotels, catering, travel
  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicize and promote the event
  • Manage all pre-event planning, organizing guest speakers and delegate packs
  • Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event
    to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
    – Measure and report performance of all events, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    – Handling budgeting, invoicing and P&L per event

 

YOUR PROFILE

Communication is your passion. Internal, external, online and offline. You are a master in organizing events and are a good community builder. You like to take half your own hands and can work autonomously remaining calm in stressful situations.

  • You have 3-5 years of relevant experience in event & community management
  • You have a solid knowledge of B2B social media: YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin
  • Email campaigning and social media analytics is not strange to you
  • You have problem-solving skills and diplomacy
  • Fluent command of English, French and Dutch is required
  • You are highly organized and give attention to detail
  • You have good project and time management skills
  • You have basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • You are flexible, target-driven and pro-active
  • You have risk management experience
  • Affinity with e-commerce is a must
  • You have good leadership skills
  • You have self-motivation and enthusiasm
  • Digital-minded
  • You hold a Master in Business Communication or relevant field

  • Develop an ambitious quarterly UK press coverage strategy
  • Arrange virtual interviews with UK B2C and B2B e-Commerce journalists
  • You master media questions and pitching stories to the media, preparing media kits and organizing press conferences
  • You provide trustworthy feedback and journalists support
  • You build long-term relationships with the UK media
YOUR PROFILE

Public relations is your passion. You master PR with a proven UK B2C & B2B e-commerce track record enabling you to leverage this Public Relation UK challenge.

  • You have 6-8 years of relevant experience as PR professional fielding media questions and pitching stories to the media excelling in verbal relationship with journalists
  • A proven PR track record in B2C and B2B e-Commerce is a must
  • Your DNA is digital
  • A good experience in B2B social media: YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin
  • An experience in customer support is a plus
